  • We did not end up bringing Tita (cameraman) with us for the beach scene.

Self Reflection: this filming schedule helps us to keep track on time as we put the dates for our shooting would nowhere near the submission date, but of course we weren't able to control that because some of us have our own things to do that we cannot skip at all as well as during our last filming Kimora was sick in which this gives a problem for our schedule to film. From most of the dates that we added, some of them we accomplish but then we didn't do all of the film on the schedule but we did all of shoots. For the next project what I would like to improve is my planning because from this it teaches me to be more realistic for planning and I can't control anything, so in order to solve this problem is to actually planned it all out and make sure we weren't busy on that day.

Storyboard

In this post it contains our storyboard for the project, this was made by me (Jyotisha) and Cassie.

For our project we made storyboard in order to make it easier for us imagine and put all of our ideas into one before we start recording the scenes. In this project we don't have any voice over in which we didn't make a script.

Draft 1:

We made the first draft as our rough ideas and trying to combine all of our ideas together, each boxes describe each shots that we are going to do. This storyboard is explaining every shot in our advertisement, but we didn't add any detail of what kind of camera shots/angle that we are doing

Draft 2:

In this version of the storyboard it is a much clearer version in order for me (Tisha) who was working on the storyboard on paper with more detailed explanation of camera angles, movement, sounds, description throughout the scene.

Final Storyboard:

This is our finalize storyboard, which consist of ... shots in 5 different scene that we do. From the draft storyboard, we can see how our ideas changed and go to places that are much suitable with our deadline as the deadline for our project change. Overall from the two different drafts, most of the ideas that we wanted to do is fix.

From the storyboard, we did most of the shots that we expected but at the end result we change some parts and added different shots that we do not have in the storyboard. We didn't follow most of our storyboard because we found better shots that would be much better to be in the video.

Reflection: This storyboard is very beneficial for our project, as it helps us to combine most of our ideas together and it feels like it brings our ideas to life as it gives a brief vision for our project. But in my opinion we can't really define what our outcome will look like as it wont be the same as with what we vision. The storyboard is an important task but it can take a lot of time where during my project it sort of weigh us down because we we're too focus on the storyboard that we forgot about the overall outcome of the project.

As for our storyboard, it is shown that there are not too clear but a lot of grey shadings of writing on each storyboard. This is caused by the scrap paper that we were given to which this affect our storyboard outcome.

Location Scout and Risk Assessment

In this post it contains the two location that we will go for our project by determine what potential risk that may occur while we are recording there, this was made by Kimora and Eileen. While Cassie and I (Tisha) help with giving ideas.

Location 1: monkey forest

Location 1

Location:

Monkey Forest Ubud

Events in scene:

  • 4 of us (team) exploring

Pros of location:

  • There are traditional dances (we won't have to spend more)

  • There is a temple

Cons of location:

  • Can possibly rain

  • It is around an hour drive to get there (can be time consuming or costful)

  • Cost 60-100k per person

Alternatives:

What other locations can you shoot at if there are issues here?

  • Restaurants nearby

  • Ubud markets

Risk Assessment

Potential hazards:

What dangers are there?

  • Monkey can attack

  • Monkey can steal our belongings

  • Big trees can fall

  • Some stairs or pathways can be dark

Evaluate risks:

What bad things could happen?

  • Monkey can attack -> we can get injured

  • Monkey can steal our belongings (we might lose our phones, bags, etc.)

  • Big trees can fall -> we can get injured

  • Some stairs or pathways can be dark -> we can stumble or fall

Control measures:

  • Check weather app a few hours before going there

Responsibility:

Risk Assessment

Potential hazards:

What dangers are there?

  • Strong waves

  • Strong winds

  • Tsunamis

Evaluate risks:

What bad things could happen?

  • Strong waves -> high risks of drowning

  • Strong winds -> bad shot results (hair getting blown away etc)

Control measures:

How will you prevent these from happening?

  • Check weather forecasts

  • Check news sites

Responsibility:

Who will be in charge of the control measures?

  • One of the group members

Time frame:

When will you have the control measure sin place by?

  • A few hours before going there

Other notes:

Reflection: With this risk assessment it helps our group to be much aware with the consequences that we might face during our shoot. This also help us become much aware with problems that we may encounter where before we go to the location we were making sure everything that we needed and as well props and items that we might need to be aware later off should get checked most of the times. While doing this risk assessment it gives us a backup plan if things goes wrong during our shoot.
